[1000mp] RELAY INFO

Rob,

I cannot be sure of the sequence of events, but Chip's responses came before
the announcement of his departure from Yaesu. He may well have already known
he was leaving, or perhaps he had not yet decided. He gave no indication of
which, nor of whether his inquiry had any chance of leading to any action by
Yaesu.

I had also mentioned in a previous email that I had discussed the matter at
length with WA6F in Brazil--Miki sat across from me at lunch, and could not
escape, and I took advantage of the opportunity. Nor did he make any
positive response, such as committing to look into it; he did listen
politely.

I am not implying anything, either--just reporting the interchange with Chip
as it occurred. I have no animosity toward Chip whatsoever, and would be
happy to have a drink with him anytime. The only implication you should take
from my email is that I had a glimmer of hope that Yaesu would do something
positive about this well-discussed problem.

Garry, NI6T

I'm not sure something is being implied here with the previous message
or not. I won't imply anything; i'll simply say that I think this
action speaks well of mr. margelli since he doesn't even work for yaesu
anymore but has taken an interest in your problem, when he could have
blown it off now that he is at heil sound.
