That's why I'm glad we're plain, simple, technically superior Americans!
(We can take this stuff....)

Some countries, the discussion we are having would be government ending!
While in the USAF, I spent many tdy's (Temporary Duties) at Marine Corps and
Army installations. To be a blue suit in a sea of green is amazing. I was
treated very well, all because, almost every time, I was told of how airmen
had treated these guys like individuals with respect and courtesy. I don't
know what they told each other, but when the Chief Sergeant Major - read big
guy NCO in charge of the base - at Camp Lejune buys you a drink - more than
one - and extolls the virtue of your service....you feel proud....but I feel
even more proud, usually, when I see an American Flag flying in a breeze and
know I had something to do with its triump over communism. Everytime I have
seen a flag pass, go up or come down a pole, heard Taps, Retreat or the Star
Spangled Banner, tears STILL come to my eyes....and I know a lot of other
guys who are the same.....
