Hi to all on the list
My name is Scott (KB2YTF)and I live in New York City U.S.A.
I'm not active in acars at this time but have a beginners knowledge.
For the folks on also on the acars list you know me already (sort of)
For the ones who are not I've run the ACARS list for the past 5 0r 6
years. I will be going through the list configurations in the next few
days and may make some changes as needed to match the acars list except
message size as we are dealing with logs, but there will be a limit this
will be determined by what I see in the next few months and be adjusted
up or down to handle most logs but still be reasonable in size.
Also in the next few weeks I will post the list rules these are 8 simple
rules mostly common cense and apply as basic rules for almost all list
on the internet. If I sound like a dictator I'm sorry but I do run a
tight list when it comes to the rules. But over all very loose
otherwise. (I think the last time I posted anything to the acars list
was about May but I do read every post) if you have any questions,
comments or complaints please use the address in my tagline as I
consider them off topic to the list but relevant to running the list (in
other words please don't use reply or reply all as that well send it to
the list) I don't plan to make any major changes as to how the list runs
at this time (or ever I hope) enless needed. if there will be a major
change I think is needed than I will post a poll to get list opinion and
go by that opinion except in things as in to where the reply to goes
(the list any questions mail me please and I will explain off list) as I
try to run things as a community. And as a community I'd like to
encourage everyone to be active, post but most of all have fun
thanks
