I posted a crude version of it in 2011. I did not have much information
on the SCR-AA-, -AB-, and -AD-183 until Ben Hall's/KD5BYB magnificent
recent contributions. (Many thanks, Ben!) I had copies of instruction
books for all other models, except the AE, AF, and AP. Dave Stinson
provided much information about the AF version in a 2011 posting, as
does Mike Hanz about the AE version at his aafradio.org site. The AP
version is just the 14 VDC version of the AQ, whose book I own. Thus,
nearly all of the information in my recent post stands pretty firmly on
instruction book information. Some order number info came from actual
components or their packing boxes, if the order number was not in the
instruction book.
There is an editing cut/paste error in my post for SCR-AA-183:
"AUTO/MANUAL Volume: ...
In AUTO, BC-AA-231 output control..."
should be "In AUTO, BC-AA-181 output control..."
I'm working on an equivalent post for the USN's GF/RU sets, but
I still lack several instruction books that I need to complete
the tabulation. The USN did much more development of the A.R.C.
Type D command set than did the USAAC/F, so the changes from
1932 GF/GF to 1941 GF-12/RU-17 is more technically interesting
than what occurred from 1932 SCR-AA-183 to 1942 SCR-AS-183.
I have a complete NOS GF-11/RU-16 and a NOS SCR-AS-183 in my
collection. I like the design of the USN set much better than
the design of the USAAF set. But its tubes aren't worth as much.
