Doesn't look repainted to me. 

DOES look "polished up" with something....maybe WD-40.

I have used a fairly stiff brush, like a vegetable brush, plus that stuff you use 
to clean the old gunge off of car engines, Gunk Engine Cleaner, to get the 
dirt out of the wrinkles on some of the good receivers I have sold in the past.

The stuff is mostly (I think) kerosene.

After cleaning the dirt out of the wrinkle paint, I would take a soft cloth and 
buff all of the remains of the Gunk off.

The receivers looked very good after that. Of course, I would always tell the 
buyers how I cleaned them up. No one ever complained.

No. That transmitter most definitely does NOT look repainted to me...but 
what do I know?

In fact, it may very well BE in original unmodified condition.

Starting price isn't all that bad either.

Kinda wish he hadn't polished it up though: raises too many questions...
