    FWIW, I hear a fair amount of AM activity on both 75 and 
40 meters and some on 10 meters near the top of the band. 
Most stations are in the West but on 10 I have also heard 
some Eastern stations. AM is fun to play with but any 
listening will demonstrate quickly why SSB supplanted it. I 
am also a league member.
