[Boatanchors] Johnson Thunderbolt *project* rig

I am helping an SK estate with some gear. One of the items is a Johnson
Thunderbolt. This appears to be in moderately good condition, BUT:
  - it's on its side on a workbench
  - the 866's have been removed
  - there are various HV probes lying around
  - one of the transformers has "OK" written on it
  - there is no sign of the cover

I believe the SK stopped being active as a ham about 15 years ago, so
I would guess that the Thunderbolt was in the middle of being worked on
for some unknown reason, most likely power-supply related.

It seems unlikely that it's worth shipping this rig. Possible options
include:
  - offering it for local pickup only (LA area)
  - I could buy it from the estate and restore it
  - I could buy it from the estate and part it out

I don't have a good idea what price to set for each of these options.
There are not many records of sales of "project' Thunderbolts (or even
working ones) that I've been able to find.

Would welcome the group's opinion.
