They can also be run GG in configurations up to 4 if you want full HF
coverage or even more if you eliminate 10-15M.
In any class they can easily run at 2200V+ just as the 813 has no
problem at 3 KV+.

Yes, and you can use suppressor grid modulation and an even higher plate
voltage and get good results! Less power, but still quite good.
And they are neat looking tube when they are all aglow!

Or for even older tubes use a pair of 814/VT-154. Even Epay cant get
over $10 for NIB ones. A real sleeper tube and the predecessor of the
813. An easy 300W on CW.
