Thats a fair performer considering its antiquity going back to the early 
60's at least. I dont think CC ever updated the design and I used 4 of 
them horizontally back in those days at around 600W AM and later SSB/CW.

Use it as is or search the internet for an optimization that was done by 
someone. Of course it can be run either polarization but if its gamma 
matched be sure they are phased properly. The T match is balanced so the 
DE can be hung either way.

CC went to the all metal T match on their long boom versions and thats 
an ideal method. Check out the 3219, 4218XL, or 17B2 manuals for 
details. I used a pair of 4218's here until the 12/5/08 ice storm and am 
now looking for either 2 or 4 long boom replacements of any brand. 
Climbing weather has finally arrived!
