[Boatanchors] RCA 8072 or Motorola 4657 Amplifier?

Has anyone contemplated using either of the above tubes (which are the same 
as an RCA 8122 LESS THE RADIATOR in a homebrew amplifier?

I am looking for possibly a junker Motorola or Canadian Marconi radio for 
the socket, tube mounts, and possibly heat sink parts to build a little 
compact amp capable of putting out 100 watts+ of power (CW) with a QRP rig 
for an exciter.

I know these bottles gave some troubles in FM mobile operation.  I'm looking 
for some do's and don'ts and caveats in the construction of an amplifier 
that will deliver 100+ watts of power when used with a QRP rig for an 
exciter.
