[Boatanchors] 6146 A or B ?

I picked up a pair of 6146's over at the evil empire and
thought they looked strange when I got them.

They are both GE's, same date code but they are marked 6146A
on one side and 6146B on the other ??

I have heard of people with an identity crisis, but tubes ??

Maybe they are 6146A.5's or maybe 6146 wanna B's ??  

The markings are real, not fake. Just never saw anything like
this before on a 6146.
