How about a way back when wattmeter. MC Jones made the 50 ohm Micromatch
line of swr/wattmeters that have shown to be fairly accurate over the years.
They have a large vented resistor probe in line with the coax but that
doesn't affect a receivers sensitivity. To read reverse swr I have to turn
the probe around in the coax line.
The indicator box comes in a couple of different varieities. They are
inexpensive at the fests because most folks only have bits and pieces of the
system. I have a series 261 wired to my valiant and it reads with good
accuracy. See BAMA for more info.
