I would like to echo Drew's thanks. Mahalo nui loa for your wisdom
and for sharing your experience with us.
While Carl and I are from roughly the same era, our paths diverged
drastically. My own preference for surplus & homebrew, hollow state,
CW only and as simple as possible has me scrambling to catch up since
I now find myself needing to vastly broaden my horizons which is
pretty terrible to admit when I think about it.
Part of the next step for me is to map this over to subminiature and
1.5 & 3v battery set tubes to satisfy several ideas wandering around
the back of my cranium. Since it's a known fact that I'm pupule (and
have the paperwork from the VA to prove it), things like this should
come as no surprise. I just happen to like subminiature, battery set
and acorn tubes. A lot. (I also like two and three digit number
tubes with UX-type bases. UY if need be.)
Anyway, again, my thanks and deepest appreciation for what you've
brought to this discussion.
Mele kalikimaka.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
