Thanks gang.

The mysterious Swan SW-4A receiver is, indeed, a Drake SW-4A as many of you
suspected (pointed out actually!)..

I suspect that what happened was that when I saw the word "Drake" on the
front panel, I had a brain fart and equated the word "Drake" with a "male
duck" which looks somewhat like a swan. That's my story and I'm sticking to
it. :>)

It's in absolutely pristine condition and has the label on the front panel
reading "Designed especially for Radio New York Worldwide." I've had it on
the bench and I'm hearing signals in the 1 - 2 microvolt range so it seems
to be in fine operating condition. All the crystals are there and it's very
clean inside.

Someone pointed out that it's an AM only radio which is a bit of a pity but
it will make someone a very nice BC SWL rig.

Thanks to all those who helped me find the obvious. I take more care before
jumping to conclusions in the future although jumping to conclusions and
pushing my luck is about all the exercise I get these days.
