Yep. We have gone through this so many times over the years. I have yet
to find a Johnson, Hallicrafters, Heathkit, Kenwood, or any rig, for that
matter, that has past through my shack over the years, where replacing a
6146/6146A with a 6146B (don't own any 6146W's cause I got a lot of "B's)
caused any type of problem. Of course, I don't own any Motorola stuff nor
have I ever worked on any, and the only Collins stuff I've ever had has
been some of their receivers. As a matter of general principle, I always
check and/or adjust (if necessary) the final neutralization after
replacing any final tubes regardless of what they are.
