K1MEM ... now that brings back memories. He was a dear friend that passed
much too soon.
I think the guy that had them all was W1GKK (SK). He had one more than W6AM
(Portuguese Goa, IIRC). I was listening to the Desecheo (I think it was that
one) Operation on 20 and heard George work Jim down there. Jim said something
like ..."glad to see #1 back to the East Coast"... .
I have a 160 Q confirmed on the back of a Polaroid shot of the Island as they
approached it. Jim did work for Polaroid for a number of years. Worth a lot to
me, but probably nothing to anyone else.
