[Boatanchors] OT audio amplifier

I wish to pick your brains. Does anyone remember or have you built an 
audio amp replacement for the LM386 using the SSM2211 as was in CQ 
under the column Math Notes?

The copy of the article I have shows a 2.2ufd electrolytic as the 
input coupling capacitor. Being a hollow state born and bred guy, this 
puzzles me. Why an electrolytic?

I am sorry but I cannot find what issue that article was from but the 
amp circuit is pretty darn close to the spec sheet from Analog Systems 
which shows their "typical application."
