National Plan. for Corporate Radios (CAP Owned)

1. 148.150 Talkaround Primary Repeater
2. 148.125 Talkaround Secondary Repeater
3. 148.1375 Simplex
4. 149.5375 Air to Ground, sometimes used for slow scan pictures.

5. Sometimes the packet frequency, the old or the new one - no standard.

All Simplex, 1&2 are Talkaround on the Primary and Secondary Repeater.
All should transmit a PL of 100.00, the "universal" Pl.
There may or not be PL required to receive, some go CSQ when the mike is off
hook!
All CAP repeaters should use two PL's, the Universal, and another local
discrete PL, which should be used instead of 100.0 when you know it. HT's
exempted.
If a person comes into the area, they should make repeater contact on 100.0,
then switch to the discrete PL.
I do not know of a regional PL plan, this is assigned in each Wing (State).

Because:
A mobile in Middletown OH on 100.0 will bring up both the Dayton and
Cincinnati repeaters.
A 2W handheld in Huber Hights, OH, North of Dayton, OH, on 100.0 will bring
up both also!
Thus using the discrete PL will bring up only the repeater you want to, and
you will not "Self Jam" yourself.

Any radio owned by a CAP member does not have to conform to this plan, only
CAP owned equipment - so anything goes.

BTW as of 1 Jan 2002, only radios which meet the NTIA (Not FCC) requirements
may be used on the CAP Government frequencies.
Go to the National CAP website for a complete listing of manufacture and
model listing of approved radios.

Hope this helped.
