Hi Dan and list -

Although I have yet to hear the above simplex frequencies in 
operation locally and personally, I can tell you the DFW CAP
wing uses a PL of 123.0 for the 148.150 repeater. I'm not 
exactly sure where the repeater is located in the Metro, but
it's fairly weak at my location (north side), and what's odd 
is that oftentimes I will only hear one side of the 
conversation (for instance - plane only) during a SAR. Perhaps 
they're using simplex, but on a wide area search, you would 
think you would use the repeater for the widest coverage 
possible...So go figure...
