What I describe is standard operating procedure for the CADOJ. In one event,
I was monitoring the CADOJ, heard them call out a street crossing on the
highway, noted I was very close, then looked to my side to see a white
vehicle with tinted drivers side window and a guy talking on mic. They were
following someone. I slowed down a bit and was eventually passed by similar
white vehicles with seriously tinted windows.

most likely this was protective detail and not a surveillance. the bad guys
arent too bad at spotting "the man" either, they just dont use technology as
well as you!

The dead givaway for UC fed vehicles in California is windows tinted far
beyond the legal limit. My wife and I were eating dinner one night and a UC
body tap freq started up like they were on top of us. Discreetly putting an
old hand held under my coat w/earplug we went for our after dinner walk,
while playing spot-the-feds. I found them down the street, with 4 cool cars
including a van, but the blacked out windows and vhf antennas made them not
so cool. The guy standing outside the pool room with an earplug was also
pretty conspicuous.
I know some might get upset that I could have blown an op, but we walked the
same route we always did, and were alot less obvious than they were. I'm
omitting agency & freqs for this one, but you get the idea. I was going to
ask the guy outside the pool room how I could join the ( ), but didn't feel
like going downtown. The look on his face would have been classic, though!
