If it's a decent corridor BP may have an ASU (anti-smuggling unit) channel
set up especially for that area. Out here they use 165.875 R, 165.975 R, &
170.725 R (new digital), also 168.875 and 165.925 up north.
If you keep searching the area's from 168.800-168.975, 170.600-170.900, and
165.8125-165.975 you can find alot of "hidden" BP stuff, and they are now
using the 12.5 splits in those areas alot also. Just as an example, here's
what I've found here:
168.800 R FBI DIGITAL
168.825 R SAME
168.850 R SAME, INPUT SAME AS .800
168.8625 I to 164.550 R FBI OCDETF NATIONWIDE D1
168.875 R NEW DIGITAL REPEATER, PROBABLY ASU, USED TO BE THE INPUT
168.925 I OR DIR DIGITAL, VERY INFREQUENT
165.8125 input to something/digital
165.825 I 163.675 (this freq has 3 iputs with different PL's, 162.9625 and
162.925 are the others).
165.8375 input
165.850 was the HT freq used by the BANDIT task force (They went after the
lowlifes who were robbing aliens in the canyons) Now has a Mexican repeater
on it. Freq was called BANDIT in the 80's.
