[FedCom] too many repeaters!!!

Yo, Ruff,

    166.4625 is US treas common freq?  Have heard this - not lately - for air 
to ground simplex on surveillances.  Also, 164.9625  is custom freq, air to 
ground repeaters, infrequent use,, also the va hospital in wilkes-barre pa 
used this for security guards. Of interest, every now and then and always 
when a customs a/c is  up and working hammer on the uhf in some kind of 
surveilance op or intercept, this freq will come up every thirty seconds or 
so with a data burst, sounding like airborne radar video from customs a/c to 
ground input.

    When living in palm springs - morongo valley area a few years ago, heard 
this same phenom, the bursts on 164.9625 in conjunction with air ops on the 
usual uhf/vhf freqs.
