Tom,
In the People's Republic of Virginia, as you know, we have no crime. All the
criminals and smugglers bypass Virginia. So, such friviolous activities as
airborne searches are a waste of time. We have more important priorities such as
catching citizens in state with radar detectors, a crime ranking just below murder
and rape. Yes sir, those signs in state saying "Keep Va. Green" do not refer to
forestry conservation.
Norfolk is the closet customs port of entry. I rarely hear Customs on
165.4375. If I do, it usually is out of DC. Years ago I heard them on 313.3000
mhz. airborne following somebody, but they don't operate off the Va. Capes using
UHF in the clear message traffic, if at all. Maybe in Florida and along the Gulf
Coast, it is different, but it's quiet around here.
