Heard short, coded conversation, sounded like a base to a mobile, simplex,
on 168.925. I've heard this freq used briefly in the past, and believe it is
part of the FBI direct cache, along with 172.3 & 170.0375.
Also- put those FEMA/itinerant freqs in your scanners- you'll sometimes find
some VERY interesting conversations: 168.350, 168.3375, 168.375, 165.6625,
164.8625, 418.050 (Area 51 security repeater), 418.075 (surveillance heard),
418.575, 408.400. Also the National Interagency Fire Center repeaters are
used by OTHER law agencies for discrete comms: 168.075, 168.100, 168.700,
166.6125, 168.475, 173.8125 (that one's used by the FBI in Riverside CA).
Tacs are 168.050, 168.200, 168.600, 173.9125, 173.9625, 173.9875. Most
Forest Service LE units use 166.125 R, but many are switching to 168.025 R.
(input for both is 164.625) 169.975/170.975 also used. 166.800-166.950 being
used by Justice and Treasury, as are the 12.5 splits in the 171 & 172 bands.
National Guard units and other Military JTF's use these in National Forests
for drug interdiction complete with air support. 169.350, 167.000, 166.750
R, 172.575, 172.725, 166.2625, 166.9375, 169.7625, 167.000, and 417.575 also
used by BLM LE units in BLM area's. I heard 417.575 in the Cal Desert area
and am pretty sure it was the UHF link to one of the VHF freqs. Ruff
