You might hear some traffic on the SS freqs prior to the visit that are not 
encrypted.  They use DES.  There is  a USSS office in Anchorage.  I would 
listen to their freq as it certainly won't be encrypted.  However, it will be 
a repeater and won't be used during the visit.  None of the radios used by 
the WHCA are repeated.  They are all simplex transmitters/receivers 
controlled with phone circuits from a single point.

Interestingly, if you want to know what the President is doing, simply listen 
to the local police who will be broadcasting details of his locations, etc. 
on their system which entirely negates the value of encrypting the USSS 
freqs.  This is the weak link in the system so to speak.
