Ahh yes, sounds similar to the turn public safety radios are taking - they're
so secure that they won't even work for the intended users!
And that article is a conglomeration - someone with some radio knowledge
should have been enlisted...

post exchange.
That's where soldiers are buying up two-way radios designed for civilian
families on ski slopes or at the mall. The commercial two-way radios are
smaller, more powerful and more reliable than Army-issue hand-held radios ...
