Surprisingly Civil Air Patrol actually put out a policy > against the use of FRS radios by it's members. That is why I bought some ISR's (Inter Squad Radios) IC-4008M's 396-399 MHz FM. Many scanners cannot monitor them on those frequencies. I wish they had a scan function however. Howy
