I always forget to ask stuff after I've already posted! Anyhow- Has
anyone ever heard of any Justice/Treasury agency (FBI,DEA,etc), other than
Customs, having their own military UHF-AM freqs? Customs are pretty well
known, and the local NORAD freqs have been utilized during some special ops,
but I've never heard of an FBI or DEA UHF air freq.
Recently I've seen 243.6 listed as being used by DEA. Is that confirmed as
a DEA freq, or were they on someone else's? The other ones that show up as
DEA are usually Coast Guard (like 353.9). As usual, any help appreciated.
The amount of military (especially helicopter) traffic along the Mexican
border is amazing- yet you'd never know by scanning, because other than the
construction units, everything else is on the wonderful SINCGARS encrypted,
freq hopping radios. Thanks gang/Ruff
