I came across some interesting stuff I didn't know, and being a fire
dispatcher thought I should, so here's some of the tidbits.
All FS LE channels are now, or soon will be on 168.025 (instead of 166.125),
same input- 164.625. PL's vary, and other freqs may be used, but 168.025
will be primary. (by the way, this is for west of the Mississippi for sure,
some of it is national.)
2 Itinerents, 163.1 and 168.350 can be used by anybody for anything.
(FYI- 163.1, pl 167.9 is standard D7 in FBI radio's as "DOE/FBI common".
I saw someone here recently (back east) say the bureau was using it as a
regular channel.
Correction on the NIFC COMMAND 5 & 6:
TX RPT/DIRECT
169.750 167.100* CMD5
173.8125** 168.475 CMD6

*167.100 input to 166.000, Treasury IAD, so it's not usable in some
locations (like the border, where the search for crooked Customs agents
continues...)
**173.8125 Unusable near Riverside/LA Cal., FBI repeater.
ICS call-up/smokejumpers freq: 168.550 (old BLM air guard)
168.625 pl 110.9 AIR GUARD (PL use mostly to block Mexico in border area's)
NIFC Command channel PL's : 110.9, 123.0, 136.5, 141.3
UHF logistics freqs (INPUTS OR OUTPUTS) MAY be used to extend range of
aircraft freqs. They are:
TX RX
410.775 414.650 CH1
411.400 415.400 CH2
411.500 415.500 CH3
411.750 417.300 CH4
411.925 417.350 CH5
412.150 417.500 CH6
412.200 417.800 CH7
I DID in fact, hear aircraft on one of these before, I'll look it up when
I get home,... MORE TO FOLLOW IN PART 2, including completely separate (and
very unusual frequency selection) Alaska set up.
                              Ruff
