I forgot to add that I will take notice of the use of the low-split UHF
channels the next time there is a major fire in this area (south eastern
Az). I have heard of the Forest Svc using these "range extending"
repeaters before, but I havent seen the freq list that they might be
using. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am assuming that the TX (see below)
is the output of these "remote" repeaters? I will be sure and report back
if they are used or not.
