<<One thing I have to question is are there really more threats, or are we
just being told more about it because they feel the need to cover their
asses more since Sept. 11th?>>

I don't it's as much CYA. But they are telling us more than they used to
because the media keeps demanding to know so they can hype it up. The only
true thing the media is good at. I'm guessing some of the real heavy crap is
still secret & I think they're following up more than they ever did before
(under any Admin) on tips.

I've noticed federal activity up this way has both increased & decreased. The
area Air Force Tracking station has doubled their "Exercises" (aka drills)
and even had a "Real" Wildland Fire during a prescribed burn on a high fire
danger day (go figure). FAA & the Army Corp of Engineers Rangers at the area
wildlife areas has also increased. But Customs & FBI are dead. They weren't
real busy anyway, but now they're gone (even the DVP traffic).

168.325 - Army Corp of Engineers Rangers
170.125 - USAF Tracking Station (New Boston)
170.600 - USAF Tracking Station (New Boston)
172.600 -FAA Area Ops
