Wow! this has turned into quite a thread with some very interesting points made.
I guess I should ask if there is an official "banned" list. It sounds like some of the things I may, or may not have come across in the past, might be on it.
Harry's link to the Washington Post article.....
Wronged Side of the Tracks?
'Railfans' Complain of Police Scrutiny in Terror Era
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A56984-2002Nov14.html
The part about some Plane watchers being charged with espionage is totally insane!
I also agree with Harry's comment... "I think it's terrible public policy, born of paranoia that seems to be running rampant in many quarters."
Try being a scanner hobbyist, smoker, gun owner, motorcycle and SUV driver....LOL.
If I was to put on my "tinfoil hat" I would question the timing of the latest FBI warnings and their connection to the upcoming Senate vote. But I can't find my hat right now....LOL.
Sorry for getting off topic, the train article just really frosted me.
Regarding voting: I always vote after doing allot of research (drives my family crazy) and I vote for who I want to win, not for who I think will win (which is hard to do sometimes).
I can only wonder what type of world my grandchildren will be growing up in.
Jon...
PS: This is a great list. Sorry I don't post more but there are others in my area that contribute more than I can so I let them post :)
