Been bringing the scanner to the office (Springfield, MA) lately for some
daytime fed & milcom monitoring, as well as conducting mobile monitoring
within 20 mile radius when out & about/traveling to/from work.
167.125R (CTCSS 167.9) --- FBI "802" daily reports with another station
around 0900 hrs local. Not too much more during the day. Basically used as
an agent locator.. Appears long winded calls go to cellular phones per
request. Some scrambling.
167.5125R -- constantly scrambled, probably FBI.
168.6625 -- data type transmissions (while mobile on Route 32, Ware, MA)
172.900 -- appeared to be digital transmissions (Quabbin Resv Tower Hill,
800', Ware/Belchertown, MA) -- perhaps Bradley International Airport in
Windsor Locks CT???
399.975 -- data transmissions (probably a satellite) (various times &
places, home, office, & mobile).
399.925 -- data transmissions (probably satellite).
408.175 -- data transmissions (Quabbin Hill)
415.05 R (CTCSS 91.5)--- : US Postal Service Inspectors & Security -- I've
noted at time when Hartford base answers units it appears that it is on
different repeaters (appears to be up to 3 different ones, but same ctcss),
based upon signal strength. Also recently I noted that this freq was being
used simplex between two mobiles. Activity is also generally
inspector/security force locator (check in, check out type activities).
Appears again that lengthy calls by design are made via cellphone.
418.975 (CTCSS 74.4) -- constant tone, transmitter link? (Quabbin Hill).
There's are the federal frequencies I've got in the BC780XLT. Do get some
interference at work on some of the freqs BUT unless indicated (* over the
past few years monitoring from various locations) no hits.

I also from time to time do a search in the 400 to 420 mhz band & 162 to 174
mhz band.
Those low power fed 39X.XXX -- haven't seen any reports of monitored
activity. Limiting factor might be that most scanners don't cover this
range and some can't be placed into the NFM mode.
Any additional suggests for frequenices to monitor??
