To the best of my knowledge, not hearing anything personally,
are the reports that the Marines, who lead the program to
develop the ISR's to replace short range voice and
hand signals are the only people using them.
At $85.00 each GSA price they are a little expensive, a
few months ago the VX-150's which are NTIA Wideband
Compliant were going for less than $100.00.
CAP has a prohibition of using FRS's for "Missions"
however they can use them for other things.
At the last Air show here both CAP and OMR, the OH organized
militia (security), were both using FSR's.
