This a very good clue,  I wish I had known before.  As usual with scanner 
manufactures they have to do something really stupid.  If you PL/DPL a 
channel you don't hear P25 stuff.  To my knowledge there's no way to strap 
it to P25 only.  You must listen carrier squelch.  If someone figures out a 
way around this please pass it along.
