172.625 has been used by National Parks (Mt Ranier). Having said that, and
looking through the NPS freqs, I'm noticing about 85-90% of the NPS freqs
are used by the FBI in areas where the NPS isn't using them. Just a few of
the NPS freqs the bureau (or another LE agency) turns up on are:
172.400 Border Patrol/Justice
172.425 FBI
172.450 FBI
166.950 BP
172.475 FBI
167.950 FBI
169.550 Customs Airports
164.100 Customs input
164.250 FBI input
164.750 same
164.800 USSS
164.425 same
166.350 BP input
168.425 FBI
171.2625 FBI
162.6125 FBI input
and there are alot more, but maybe a bureau Russian-watcher unit? I know
the Komitet (or whatever they're calling state security these days) has a
large estate on Long Island... another topic:

Anyone recognize 166.6375? I show Treasury, usually USSS input (Baltimore,
New Haven). I have alot of simplex digital on that one, and
it used to have rare use. It may well be USSS, since I haven't heard them on
any regular freq in months. Is it used other than the USSS inputs I've
mentioned? Scott
