Jeff,

One way to check it is to get close enough to hear the input signal. If it
is active at the same time the 143.7 is active, then that's probably it.
You'll have to get a LOT closer than Pax River though.

If the transmissions are coming from there I would not be able to prove it
as I am down here in St. Mary's County MD. All I get is an encrypted signal.

Yesterday I was online with another fellow in Northern Calvert who brought
it up. He seemed to think it was a control channel for a trunk system but he
said he was on the east side of Calvert and had a hill between him and the
DC area and could not pick it up clearly.

Where I am at, I am distinctly picking up voice signals that appear to be
digitized or encrypted by some other means. The only time it has gone
unencrypted is on 2 different mornings I heard comms in the clear, comms
were to the effect that the South Gate was now open.
