Any idea who owns the property? Also, call the local police and tell them you find the matter suspicious given the climate we now live in. See what they say. They might tell you what they know. If they act like they don't know about it and then don't even bother to come out and investigate, then you'll know something's probably up and they've been told to stay away. :)
