I am just curious what equipment people like for federal monitoring. In the past I have preferred a receiver with at least PL tone because it will block signals with DVP and allow signals with tone to be passed. But now with P-25 something else might be in order. I think I heard that P-25 does not use PL tone. Can anyone verify that. If so, the BC-250 or BC-785 might be the radio of choice for federal monitoring.
