Communications:    The CAP Communications Program received $900,000 in
end-of-year program that will be used in the narrowband LMR conversion.
These
funds were used to procure over 300 VHF/FM portables for our ground teams as
well as more than 3000 Intra Squad Radios (ISR) for both the ground teams
and
incident command posts.  These assets will go a long way in helping us
transition to narrowband expected sometime in 2007. We will take delivery of
these radios in November and should be able to begin distribution to the
field
in December.  As we prepare for the distribution cycle, we need your help,
and
request your wing communications staff take a moment to verify that the
parcel
post and motor freight shipping addresses for your wing, on file and
accessible
through the Communications Web Page, are current and correct.  In this way
you'
ll help us get the equipment to you quickly while keeping shipping costs
down.

Looks as there will finally be some communications on ISR's,
pretty much Nil Hrd in Cincinnati.
