This may have already been happening in other areas, but I have just toda=

started copying ASTRO digital traffic on the US Customs primary repeater,=

165.2375 mHz, here in Portland, OR. Previously all digital traffic heard
here was DES or something similar. This change may be as a result of the
reorganization of various agencies under the Department of Homeland
Security, as the unit I heard talking with SECTOR was using the callsign =
of
7INS-7807, with a prisoner transport from Portland International Airport.=

Once again, more and more agencies seem to be getting new radios with AST=
RO
digital!
