[FedCom] New antennas on the Secret Service suburban

Just a thought, but I wonder if the large antennas to the rear of the
vehicle may be HF antennas designed for tremendous durability and high
transmitter power.  Looking at the base of them, I wonder if what we are
seeing is some sort of feed network for tuning the antennas.

The antennas to the front with the ground planes I am guessing are for UHF.
The dimension appears to be correct.  Again, looks like designed for
tremendous durability and high transmitter power.  ...and we all know that
GEP use a lot of power.

I had heard reports of these new antennas on some of the vehicles, but I
hadn't seen what they looked like before. Very interesting!

I'm wondering if the Suburban in the photo is the latest version of
ROADRUNNER, that used to be housed in a Ford van.
