Folks,
In Southern MD I am getting good copy on 141.225 in FM mode of HAWK 01. HAWK
is coordinating RABBIT 01, 02. & 03. RABBITS appear to be in vehicles and
HAWK is telling them where to go and what to do. They appear to be testing
some sort of comms setup involving phones as HAWK keeps advising them to
HANG UP, REDIAL, SWITCH PHONES etc. They have been at this for several hours
now and were at it several hours yesterday as well.
The RABBITS don't appear to be on a base as HAWK keeps telling them to move
to different locations and sometimes will tell them to go near the CHEVRON
STATION or other well known type of business name.
A quick net search suggests this freq is generally used by the ARMY, and
this very well could be the case. I can't say yea or nay from the comms.
I can't tell if HAWK is airborne or not, I doubt it due to the length of the
testing going on. His comms are Loud and Clear.
Sounds like they are now securing HAWK 03 just advised all stations that was
it for today.
The closet Army base I can copy is FT AP HILL but that's a good distance
from here and I don't normally copy their comms this well.
There is nothing that sticks out like a sore thumb that tells me these comms
are definitely Military related so I was thinking possibly Federal related.
So I figured I had better kick it out to you folks as I am strictly a MILAIR
kind of guy. If anybody has any thoughts on these comms I would certainly
appreciate them. I will be recording them until I can get better info out of
the comms. Hopefully they will be up again tomorrow and I can pull something
a little more useful out of them.
