The only problem was/is that if  it was some kind of UAV mounted comms
repeater. I should heave been able to  hear to Ground side of the RABBITS. So
I set up a search scanner working  most of the Federal/MIL VHF bands and came
up empty handed there. I guess  they could have been encrypted but HAWK  sure
wasn't.


  It doesn't have to be operating as a traditional semi-duplex  repeater.  If 
it's a UAV, it could easily have been receiving the ground  mobile RABBITs on 
VHF simplex, and then retransmitting the audio up on a UHF or  SHF SATCOM 
uplink to the UAV control station or their customer, which could have  been 
anywhere in the world.
