It is good to see someone share my quest. I've been at this hobby for
many many years and still spend a high percentage of my monitoring hours
SEARCHing, not just SCANning. The newcomers to our hobby seem to depend on website
listings of freqs (always full of errors) and publications (often quickly
outdated). Recently one asked a question on an Email group: "What is the "Monitor"
button for?"; so you know he never searches.
I don't mind sending some freqs along to nwbies who ask me for them, but I
usually include an exhortation to them to "Hit the SEARCH Button, too."
   Stay the quest.
