I never would have guessed that there would have been much federal activi=
ty
to monitor at an event like the Kentucky Derby, but this last week in
Louisville proved me wrong. Most interesting what what appeared to be a
joint local/federal repeater setup on 167.5625 and 453.575 MHz. Heard
several mentions of federal officers on some local dispatch channels. I
don't know if there were some VIP's at the Derby that required federal
protection, but very well could have been...
Here's what I picked up while searching;
163.0500, 023dpl - Unknown, sounded like several parties at race day, had=
to escort some folks to airport FBO after Derby for flight.
163.8375, 167.9pl - Some DES, some clear voice. Definitly some activity a=
t
the racetrack on Friday and Saturday.
164.9875, 100.0pl - Sounded like USPS.
165.2375 - DES, Immigrations & Customs Enforcement repeater in Louisville=
area.
165.2875 - P25 clear & encrypted, BATF "COMMAND POST" at racetrack.
167.5375, 167.9pl - DES and clear voice, definitly some activity at the
racetrack on Friday and Saturday.
167.5625, 167.9pl - Temporary repeater set up at Churchill Downs race
track. It was tied to 453.575 repeater, which is a Louisville Police &
Jefferson County common channel.
168.6500 - DES unknown.
170.3750, 100.0pl - Sounded like USPS.
172.3000, 118.8pl - Unknown.
172.9000 - P25, TSA at Standiford Field (Louisville Int'l), must have a
hefty repeater as I could hear this all over town!
409.4375, 172dpl - Unknown.
413.7150 - P25, Kentucky ANG security.
415.2000, 118.8pl - Federal Protective Service, DoHS
