Well, lots of good theories, except for the Skittles, which of course 
would work their way downward, not upward, due to gravity. ;-)

If it was a communications device, why not pick a federal frequency or 
better yet go spread spectrum so it can't be monitored? Generally when 
you see some entertainer wearing a wireless microphone, the "guts" are 
located at the small of the back where it would be less obvious. Now 
post 9/11 communications device has some merit, especially after the 
filming of Andrew Card whispering into Bush's ear about the Twin Tower 
attack. But looking at the photo of that really sophisticated wireless 
device, i.e .the one where the earpiece itself is wireless, I can't see 
such a system being low maintenance. That is, it would be good for a 
speech, but those hearing air batteries don't last very long.

The medical theory has come up on talk radio. That part of the back is 
an unlikely place to inject anything since there are many muscles in the 
way. Fueling the fire is that Bush skipped his yearly medical exam.
