P25 gear is hella expensive. I looked at Kenwood's new portable
VHF radio that is analog and P25, and it was around $1500!! I was looking 
for
an all-in-one solution to monitor the feds P25, and have a radio for fire 
dept
and ham stuff. Just way too expensive. Besides, here in the Mobile area, 
only the
ATF is using P25. What I've heard on there is boring anyway. I have heard of 
several areas where
there are hams running p25 on 2 meter repeaters.

Getting back in the Fedcom mind frame....
