Ben,
Great job of reporting activity in your area. It's too bad other Fedcomer's
appear to be reluctant to report what they are hearing. With the Fedcom
bands changing, reports such as yours are very important.

Subject: [FedCom] Philly activity

Fedcoms aren't my primary target when scanning. I do, however, have some
fed
stuff in the scanner. I use a PRO-96 with various different rubber duck
type
antennas depending on where I am and what I'm trying to hear.
DEA UHF channels are usually very busy in both the Philly and Allentown
metro
areas. I've been copying P25 clear and encrypted (more often the
latter)traffic on:
418.625 - A1 Repeater (Allentown traffic)
418.900 - A2 Repeater (Philly traffic)
418.750 - A3 Repeater (unknown area)
418.950 - A6 Repeater (unknown area)
418.975 - A7 Repeater (unknown area)
416.125 - Philly Office, id'd as Ch. 11
I have the A4 and A5 repeater outputs programmed, but have not copied any
traffic in this area.
Also, for the last few weeks, BATF (presumed) has had surveillance on
166.5375.
The base is P25 clear. I cannot copy the field units (I'm assuming the
operation is working in simplex). Very rarely, I will copy P25 encrypted
traffic on 165.2875 (repeater out).
163.7875 has occassional P25 clear or encrypted traffic. Someone gave this
to
me as an FBI frequency. It appears to be a repeater output. Most of the
clear
traffic I've heard sounds like it is coming from NJ somewhere (I am in SE
PA,
NW of Philadelphia).
Ben
