[FedCom] Federal User's Nextel/Sprint IDEN?

i knew that IDEN isn't encrypted, but it just as might as well be since
tere is no scanner available that will let you hear it. Omiting the
federal governmnet in places like Detroit and others it would be
interesting to hear all the DC conversations, and I haven't had the chance
to monitor tyhat 163.625 freq yet, but will try and monito it later on
when I am on the way home. I'm actually surprised that encryption isn't
more widely used with the federal governmnt when it comes to radio coms.
I remember being in Little Rock, and close to where I was there was a UHF
federal trunked system. It wasn't liksted in radioreference.com, and it
was all digital but about 85% encrypted, with only wha tsounded like
maintenance crews using clear Astro mode. i don't konw who this system
was in use by, but it was in the UHF federal band for anyone who is down
in Little Rock.
Now, here with the large federal complex in Detroit does anyone
konw what freqs are in use there, and are they clear or encrypted?
